JOIN OUR TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS
Our staff are like family at Camp Spirit Colorado. It’s a great mix of medical professionals and passionate advocates for the EB community.
At Camp Spirit, we take an ‘all-hands approach’ with some dedicated and specific responsibility assigned by the team.
Volunteers are recommended to arrive a day prior to Camp start for set-up, bonding and training.
If interested, volunteers are able to participate in downhill skiing (1-2 days), snowmobiling (1 day) and a horse-drawn sleigh ride activities.
We have a variety of fun cabin activities including a special talent and awards show on the final night. It’s a very special experience.

OPERATIONS TEAM
Director and Admin
Responsible for ensuring success of overall camp experience, organizing the overall schedule, coordinating logistics with vendors, and facilitating application and registration process.
SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Responsible for planning activities that can further campers engagement, morale and progress; or aid in a specific support (i.e. Life Skills, Pain Management, Mobility, Depression, etc.).
Includes planning fun cabin activities and events (i.e. talent show, awards, room decorations, publishing to our social media channels).
*Some qualified medical training is required.
HOSPITALITY TEAM
Responsible for preparing the menu, shopping and organizing meals; responsible for daily linen and towel changes, disinfecting frequently touched areas and garbage duty.
MEDICAL TEAM
Requires qualified medical training.
Responsible for primary bandage, bathing and medication care.
WHAT TO EXPECT
It’s hard work, but so rewarding. Days start early and end late. It can get intense but we have lots of fun too.
- Cabin Life – You will live in a cabin with campers and other volunteers sharing bedrooms and bathrooms. We have all our meals together in the cabin cooked by our Camp Chefs.
- Benefits – you’ll give a lot of yourself but in return, you’ll discover that this experience taught you more about yourself than you could have imagined. You’ll be making a difference in these kid’s lives.
