HOW WE SUPPORT
CAMP SPIRIT COLORADO
For more than 15 years, the Butterfly Children Fund has been proud to host this annual adventure camp for children with RDEB in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Campers enjoy an opportunity to safely experience winter activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, dog-sled rides, and sleigh rides. Even more importantly, they are able to spend the week and build relationships and community with other children who have the same rare disease.
EB FAMILY ASSISTANCE FUND
Partnering with the physicians and staff at the Children’s Hospital Colorado and Children’s Hospital Foundation, this Fund was established in 2003 to assist families of children with EB with the many expenses not covered by insurance such as home care needs, travel assistance for medical visits, bandages & supplies, family support and more.
RESEARCH
The Butterfly Children Fund, allocates a portion of our annual fundraising to the groundbreaking research taking place at the Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus which is making such great strides and that we KNOW will change the lives of these patients and their families in the very near future!
